Last weekend, the 25th National Majorette Championship of the Republic of Croatia was held in Klinča Sela.
This year, the competition brought together as many as 41 formations, 34 non-formations and 177 competitors in the First and Higher Step categories, which is as much as 27% more competitors than in 2021.
This year, the ceremonial parade at the opening of the championship was led by the Sveta Jana majorettes as last year’s state champions, and after the line-up, a competition for the youngest members followed. Our girls again showed themselves in the best light and won as many as 24 medals!
The competition between the formations was stronger than in the past few years, but all three groups of Sveta Jana majorettes danced their choreographies excellently and achieved top results. Thus, the cadet team won a high 6th place in the competition of 15 teams, the junior girls shined in the formation and non-formation duo, winning 2nd place and silver medals, while the seniors in a close fight missed the victory by only one index, and they return to Jaska with a silver medal and the title of vice-champions of the Republic of Croatia.
It is important to emphasize that all the teams and non-formations qualified for the European Championship, which will be held in Zadar at the beginning of September this year. As every year, the Sveta Jana majorettes especially thank the fans who created a great atmosphere in the hall and supported the girls in this championship as well and were the strongest wind at their backs.
