This weekend, the Sveta Jana majorettes held their 8th annual concert where they brought us back to our childhood with their music and dance machine, when we saw our first heroes in the characters who inhabit the worn pages that tirelessly turn before going to sleep. However, instead of princes and princesses in the Theater Hall in Jastrebarsko, we were
greeted, as suits our majorettes, by real little fearless heroines.
The program was bravely opened by the girls of the children’s ensemble led by trainer Paula Grgetić and assistant Patricija Miletić, while all the already well-known ensembles of Sveta Jana majorettes took us through the most beautiful fairy tales; from the cadet 2nd team through the competitive cadet 1A team of coach Anita Jurelinac, who in the role of fearless heroines set out
on a journey to save their people but also to save the magic of the Madrigal family. The junior team decided to travel to the mountainous regions of Scotland and embody Merida the Brave, determined to create her own path in life and face the traditions and fate imposed on her, while the senior team delighted the youngest viewers with probably the most famous fairy tale of today with their role as Elsa. under the baton of coach Mateja Baltorinić.
It has already become a tradition that every year our majorettes reward individual girls in the team and express their gratitude for their personal contribution to better functioning and a nicer atmosphere in the team. Thus, the following recognitions were awarded:
1. Recognition for the greatest PERSISTENCE IN TRAINING: Marija Radelja
2. Recognition for the highest PRESENCE AT TRAINING: Tesa Stošić
3. Recognition for the highest EFFORT AND WORK IN TRAINING: Marta Bošnjak
4. Recognition for encouraging TEAM SPIRIT: Ana Turkalj
5. Recognition for the greatest PROGRESS in 2022: Alina Zentner
6. Recognition for CREATIVE CONTRIBUTION in 2022: Valentina Martinuš and Patricija Miletić
The girls singled out one majorette in particular, Mihaela Rožić, who was awarded the award for the greatest CONTRIBUTION TO MAJORETTE DANCE in 2022.
In addition to these recognitions, the team awarded, as a sign of gratitude, awards for 10, 15 and 20 years of loyalty to the Sveta Jana majorettes.
